Applications

 

Cleanse is a universal powder cleaner incorporating chlorine. The chlorine is released as soon as Cleanse is dissolved in water.

Hospitals

 

Preparation of solution

Each day prepare a fresh solution containing 30 grams of Cleanse for each 5 litres of water. At any time after its preparation, the available chlorine in the solution can be checked by using the test papers.

 

Sterilising bedpans, urinals and sputum pans

Empty contents of the pan, rinse with water and immerse in the Cleanse solution for 1 minute.

 

Isolation areas

Wash the whole area thoroughly with Cleanse solution. Rinse all surfaces.

 

Toilet bowls

Flush the toilet, sprinkle Cleanse onto the bowl, allow to stand 5 to 10 minutes. Using a long handled

brush, scrub the entire area. Flush, dry with a clean cloth.

 

Baths and shower recesses

Wet surfaces, sprinkle onto wet surfaces then brush thoroughly with a stiff brush. Rinse with water and allow to dry.

 

Food Preparation Areas

Disinfection of bench tops, trolleys, floors and tiled surfaces

Thoroughly wash the areas with Cleanse solution at strength of 10 grams per litre of warm water.

  

Disinfection of glasses, dishes and eating utensils

Wash dishes with suitable detergent. Immerse the articles in a solution of 5 grams per litre for not less than two minutes. Ensure that chlorine level is not less than 100 ppm with test papers.

 

De-staining crockery

Use Cleanse at a strength of 20 grams per litre and soak for 10 minutes. Maintain chlorine level at 200 ppm by use of chlorine test papers.

 

Cool rooms

Sweep out the area. Apply a solution of Cleanse at 10 grams per litre. Scrub in with a stiff broom, leave for 20 minutes then rinse with fresh water.
