Stablised laundry bleach powder

Introduction

Of all the chemicals used in the laundry process, sodium hypochlorite bleach is the most potentially dangerous to fabrics. Safechlor has been specially formulated to provide the power and efficiency of hypochlorite bleach in a slow release form.

Features & Benefits

  1. Safechlor is effective. It releases chlorine in an activated form which removes stains and restores sharp whiteness.
  2. Safechlor reduces fabric damage and linen replacement. As the chlorine in Safechlor is stabilized, it is released at a controlled rate and dramatically reduces pin-holing and fabric damage. Correct use of Safechlor makes linen last longer.
  3. Safechlor is effective at high bleach cycle temperatures. It can be used routinely in bleach cycles at temperatures up to 60
  4. Safechlor is reliable. There is negligible loss of chlorine activity during storage. Bleach strength is constant and uniform bleaching is assured when Safechlor is used.
  5. Safechlor is safe. It eliminates hazards associated with spillage and splashing.

Use Directions

  • Safechlor is a chlorine-based product and should be used only on white cottons and linens. Safechlor is NOT recommended for woollens, silk or resin treated fabrics such as drip-dry and non-iron fabrics.
  • As with all other chlorine bleaches, Safechlor should never be used on coloured work.
  • As bleaches are the only normal laundry products which can cause fabric damage, they must never be used in quantities greater than those recommended. Never guess or estimate the quantity of product – use a measured amount.

Normal bleaching : Use 100 grams of Safechlor per 50 kg load at temperatures not exceeding 60C (140 F)

Stained linen : Use up to 250 grams of Safechlor per 50 kg load at temperatures not exceeding 60C (140 F)
